Not Actually The First Post

December 31, 2007

Welcome! I’m Aeoni, the second of the writers and maintainers of Stuck Pixels, and already we’re arguing about whether the banner is putting across the right image for the blog. We’re going to get along great.

My profile already has some details about me, but I’ll regurgitate them here – I’m currently employed in an independant games studio as a games designer, working on a title for current-generation systems for release… sometime in the future.

Given the nature of our discussions, the two of us are keen to keep our professional identities as far away from this blog as possible. The benefits of this are twofold; we feel that we are able to say nearly anything we like without the worry that what we say will compromise our careers, and you can read what we honestly, truly believe without worry that we’re trying to toe the corporate line.

This blog is going to take us to lots of genres and aspects of the games industry across (hopefully) many writers whose varied interests should result in lots of subjects being tackled to keep everyone interested. I hope everyone looks forward to it, and may 2008 be a productive year.

The First Post is the Deepest

December 31, 2007

Welcome to the Stuck Pixels blog – a blog about games design, as well as the games industry in the whole. I am Codename45, one of many writers in, or connected to the industry, who will be discussing and digesting topics relating to the games design… both the good and the bad.

Personally, as far as I go, I’m a long time gamer and currently work as a games designer on a title to be released in 2008. I hope this blog stimulates some debate amongst readers both in and out of the industry alike, and provides a good place for discussion of the continued improvement of the games industry and the games we produce.

If you look on the navbar above, you’ll find an About Stuck Pixels section that will tell you a little bit more about the blog and what we’re aiming for.
